Sam Raimi is set to produce a remake of the 1970s cult classic film ‘Magic,’ which originally starred Anthony Hopkins. The new version of the 1978 killer doll movie is being developed by Lionsgate, with Chris Hammond and Tim Sullivan also on board as producers.

The screenplay for the remake will be penned by Mark Swift & Damian Shannon, known for their work on ‘Freddy vs. Jason’ and ‘Send Help.’ The original movie featured Anthony Hopkins as Corky, a magician whose ventriloquist dummy, Fats, takes on a life of its own.
